Scope of this service

Who this service is for

Women have distinct nutritional needs that change throughout life. Hormonal and reproductive changes — from puberty and menstruation through fertility, pregnancy, perimenopause and menopause — can affect nutritional requirements, body composition, bone and metabolic health, and the way nutrition interacts with symptoms and longer-term health.

Specialist support may be helpful during a particular life stage, in response to symptoms or a diagnosed condition, or simply to ensure nutritional needs are being met as health and circumstances change. This can include fertility and preconception, pregnancy and postnatal nutrition, PCOS, endometriosis, perimenopause and menopause, bone health, metabolic health, gastrointestinal concerns and healthy ageing.

Working alongside medical care

Nutrition can play an important role in women’s health, but some symptoms and conditions require medical investigation, diagnosis or treatment alongside nutritional care. Where appropriate, Dr Bujtor may recommend involvement from a GP, gynaecologist, endocrinologist or another medical specialist.

Where eating difficulties, body image or psychological wellbeing are also a concern, additional psychological or mental health support may be recommended. Dr Bujtor can work alongside other professionals involved in your care so that nutritional support forms part of a coordinated approach.

Questions

Before you begin

Do I need a referral?+

No. Families and individuals are welcome to self-refer, and GPs, consultants and other clinicians are welcome to refer directly.

Are appointments in person or online?+

Both — in clinic at Springbank Clinic in Sevenoaks, or online tele-health across the UK.

What happens at the first appointment?+

A full assessment: history, current intake, relevant medical and developmental background, and what daily life actually looks like. You leave with initial direction, and a written plan follows.

Can you write to my GP or consultant?+

Yes, with your consent. Where care is shared, a summary letter helps keep everyone working from the same picture.
